Purrductive privacy

Purrductive is a focus timer with a capybara friend. We keep as little about you as we can. There are no ads, no tracking and no selling of data.

Kept on your device

Your friend's name, focus history, XP, toys, outfits, gifts and settings stay on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. The home-screen widgets and Live Activity read a small copy of today's focus time and timer from the same device.

If you are signed in to iCloud, the app also keeps a copy of that progress in your own iCloud account, so it follows you to your other iPhone and iPad and comes back on a new one. It goes from your device to Apple's iCloud and back; we never see it. On Android, your phone's own Google backup can save the same progress, if you have backup turned on.

Focus together rooms

If you create or join a room, we send the room code, a random member id (other people in the room never see it), your friend's name, your timer status, today's focus minutes, your chosen pet and outfit, your latest gifts and, if you turn on "Show my tag to friends", what you are working on to our rooms server, so the other people in that room (up to 4) can see them. Room data is held in memory while the room is active and removed when everyone leaves or goes quiet. We do not ask for your name, email or contacts.

Like any web server, the rooms server sees your internet (IP) address. We use it only to stop abuse (too many requests), and it is kept only in short-lived server logs.

Purchases

Purrductive Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether this device has Pro. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user id and your App Store purchase receipts. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Children

Purrductive does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Deleting the app removes everything kept on your device. The iCloud copy stays in your iCloud account, so installing the app again brings your progress back. Leaving a room removes you from it straight away.
